Critique Groups
Our Critique Groups are small gatherings of three to ten members and guests who meet regularly to critique each other’s work and offer suggestions and peer support. Each group has a host/moderator and meets regularly at our storefront on Yucaipa Boulevard. Attendance is included in membership or $5 per meeting for guests, first visit free. Off-site groups have their own rules and/or fees.
Memoir – Meets every other Monday from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm. Hosted by Diane Mierzwik, author of the memoir “Weekly Affirmations for Pre-menopausal Women”. Participants bring 6 copies of up to 5 pages - double-spaced, 12 font – to share with the group.
Writer’s Round Table - Meets every other Tuesday from 7 pm until 9 pm. Hosted by Sandy McPherson, soon-to-be published author. Participants are given writing prompts to write to, technique is discussed and markets are provided.
Poetry – Please contact Yucaipa Poets which meets at the Yucaipa Branch Library.
Fiction – Meets every other Thursday from 7 pm – 9 pm. Hosted by published author, Andrew Irvin. Participants bring 6 copies of up to 5 pages, double-space, 12 font, to share with group.
Iconoclast Writers Group - meets every other Tuesday from 7 pm – 9 pm. Hosted by published author, Donna Thomas. Participants bring a piece of writing to share for feedback.

Off-site Groups
Tuesdays at the Calimesa Senior Center, Andrew Irvin hosts two memior groups, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please contact Andrew at andrew.writersgallery@yahoo.com for more information. More than 15 people participate weekly. The afternoon sessions still has plenty ofroom, meets from 12:30 until 2:30 for a $2 donation. Participants are encouraged to bring ten copies of 3 – 5 pages of writing to share with the group. All copies are returned to the author at the end of the session.
